Logistics Analyst

The main objective of this position is to support ongoing logistics initiatives throughout the Roofing Group in an undefined department. The analyst could be assigned to one of the following departments : Transport, DRP, Material Master, Customer Service (Data Management Support), and Production Planning. This position aims to reduce working capital (finished goods inventory) while maintaining agreed-upon customer service levels (fill rates & lead times) and managing inter-plant stock transfers. The analyst will utilize current and future tools to better manage inter-plant inventory levels from a network / aggregate level and manage the master scheduling function for manufacturing facilities located in various parts of the country. They will also maintain master production planning data to best utilize our planning systems and develop data query tools to help develop management reports and provide data for senior level management decisions.

Key metrics include production planning KPIs, streamline KPIs, working capital (inventory investment, days of sales, & turns), forecast accuracy, OTIF measurements, transport KPIs, and material master KPIs. The duties and responsibilities include :

Demand Planning and DRP Duties

• Prepare sales analysis for externally produced and manufactured products stocked at all distribution centers in the Roofing Group.
• Create reports and gather data, monitor trends, and compile statistics from data management systems, extract information to Excel and calculate min / max / median / average for each product.
• Identify products sales level and point out the low sellers or non-sellers at a six-month level.
• Prepare Service Level Agreement (SLA) proposals to be reviewed with regional sales managers.
• Prepare presentations for SLA review to include product statistics, graphics, and other methods of articulation for externally produced and manufactured SKUs shipped by each DC for the 12 months' period, number of inter-plant transfers per DC, etc.
