Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.

The Residential Department is looking for someone who is passionate about helping and serving our community. This individual will be providing services in home, community, and healthcare settings for individuals who are experiencing addiction and recovery challenges.

Position : Community Support Specialist

Department : Residential (Pathways)

Shift : (Fulltime Swing 40hrs / week) Sunday-Thursday 3 : 00pm to 11 : 30 pm

Salary Range : $22.19 / hour - $29.58 / hour. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements : High school diploma / equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with individuals with mental health needs. A combination of education / experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.

Summary : Provides direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and / or addiction issues who reside in the agency residential facilities. Community Support Specialists teach activities of daily living : housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance. Must have the knowledge / abilities to model appropriate interpersonal / vocational skills / behaviors. Able to deal effectively with high stress situations, handle unusual human behavior, resolve conflict. Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance.

Working conditions : This position works in an office environment / residential home. This position is not remote.
