Position : IT Support Specialist

Compensation : $20 / Hr

Location : Grand Rapids, MI area

As an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist, you'll ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a tech-savvy individual eager to grow their career in IT support, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist :

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity .
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for support procedures, FAQs, and system configurations.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements and knowledge base updates.
  • Educate users on best practices and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director and team to support infrastructure projects and system upgrades
  • Assist in setting up and configuring workstations , laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup and equipment provisioning.
  • Participate in inventory management and equipment tracking.

Preferred Experience of the IT Support Specialist :

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience managing user accounts & permissions, and troubleshooting issues within M365 Admin Center (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems, including setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP), and experience with routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Hands-on experience with printer maintenance, and troubleshooting across various models and environments.
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS and macOS operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities.
