Surety Bail Assistant
A Surety Bail Assistant provides financial, administrative and clerical support to the Bail department to ensure payments and transactions are properly reconciled. The assistant will provide support to all Bail department employees with the day-to-day operations as well as projects as assigned by management.
What you will do for C&F :
- Pick up, open and distribute daily mail from Post Office
- Accurately and timely enter data into company systems
- Print bonds and distribute to producers
- Perform reconciliation of accounts receivable to cash received
- Prepare outgoing mail and packages to producers
- Print and prepare mailing labels for distribution to producers
- Prepare and scan documents into digital files using Image Right
- Execute exoneration reports to clear closed liability.
- Pull and email reports to agents (Inventory, open liability, etc.)
- Providing customer service to our agents and callers
- Intake of bond powers from UPS delivery
- Assist in training staff members and new hires
What you will bring to C&F :
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferredStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines to complete assigned tasksIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to learn and utilize industry-specific softwareSolid verbal and written communicationsExcellent customer service and time management skillsIndependent thinker and problem solver.Ability to multitaskAbility to lift 25+ pounds to move bond packages to print and to distribute via mailroomValid driver's license is preferredWill abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F's risk management controlsWhat C&F will bring to you

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $39,200.00 to a maximum of $57,400.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and / or performance-based variable pay programs.
