Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med / Surg Float Pool night shift role requiring at least one year of MS / SD experience and an active OK or compact RN license. Responsibilities Work in the Float Pool within a hospital environment Care for diverse patient populations with conditions ranging from simple to complex Requires assignment to various units as needed Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week Medical-Surgical / Stepdown experience required; ICU experience preferred Provide direct nursing care, monitor and document patient responses, and assist in minor diagnostic procedures Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed Coordinate care with physicians, patients, and families throughout hospitalization and discharge Delegation of tasks to support staff is expected Holiday and weekend coverage may be required in alignment with hospital needs Must possess strong communication and organizational skills Returning travelers are limited to one extension for a total of 26 weeks before a mandatory 6-month separation Requirements Active OK or multistate compact RN license (eNLC) is required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required At least 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or stepdown setting is required Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required; BSN preferred Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-632030.
