Job Description

Immediate part time (one-two afternoons/evenings) opening for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in our Washington, DC health center.
pecific Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Obtain accurate and appropriate health history and perform behavioral health assessments.
Adhere to approved practice standards and protocols from the DC Board of Nursing.
Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.
Monitor patients' condition and progress and re-evaluate treatments as needed.
Prescribe or administer therapy, medication and other specialized care to treat or behavioral health illnesses in accordance with professional practice guidelines.
