Salary : Position Overview :

Willmer Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support our growing public sector team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional whos eager to learn about business development, client relations, and proposal coordination in the A / E / C industry.

Youll work closely with the Director of Business Development and other team members to help identify opportunities, support proposal efforts, and build relationships with key clients and partners. The role offers strong mentorship, hands-on training, and a clear path for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Development Support

  • Assist the Director of Business Development with daily coordination, scheduling, and follow-up activities.
  • Help track opportunities, proposals, and upcoming projects in thepublic sector.
  • Support outreach efforts by preparing client communications and maintaining contact lists.
  • Assist with event and meeting logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, and follow-ups.

Proposal & Marketing Assistance

  • Help coordinate and assemble RFQ / RFP response materials, including resumes, project sheets, and forms.
  • Support marketing efforts by updating proposal libraries, project databases, and templates.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to ensure proposals are accurate, timely, and visually consistent.

    • Market Research

  • Conduct basic research on agencies, competitors, and upcoming bids.
  • Summarize findings and share insights to support pursuit planning.
  • Maintain organized files of project data and market research.

    • Collaboration &Communication

  • Work cross-functionally with technical, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth proposal and client coordination.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and client planning discussions.
  • Represent the company at local events, conferences, and networking functions (with training and guidance).

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 13 years of experience in business development, marketing, client relations, or similar roles (internship experiencewelcome).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Adobe InDesign.
  • Experience or interest in RFQ / RFP preparation or CRM tools is a plus, but not required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings or conferences (up to 25%).
