Behavioral Health Therapist Associate

UPMC Western Behavioral Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist Associate to support Twin Lakes in Somerset. PA.

The Behavioral Health Therapist Associate will provide clinical treatment services to the targeted populations, including a comprehensive needs assessment and provision of case management services including assessment, service linkage, resource development, coordination of all services received, and advocacy.

The shift for this position will rotate, including days, evenings, night, weekends, and holidays. Free parking available on site.

Responsibilities :

Client Engagement : Connects with potential clients, monitors and addresses engagement barriers.

Data Collection & Documentation : Gathers necessary data, conducts assessments, and maintains accurate case records.

Treatment Planning & Implementation : Collaborates on treatment plans, updates based on patient needs, and completes clinical documentation.

Therapy & Education : Provides individual / group therapy, engages families, and educates on recovery.

Team Collaboration : Works with treatment team, attends meetings, and coordinates continuity of care.

Service Referrals : Refers patients to appropriate services and community programs.

Quality Assurance : Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.

Completion of a human services related internship / practicum or 1 year of relevant human services experience.

Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process preferred.
