Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Part-Time

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Part-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation, making a positive impact on the environment and those you interact with each day.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Tue 05 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Thur 05 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor the premises for security-related concerns and report any irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and / or contractors with access and general inquiries while upholding site-specific protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current on security-related procedures and emergency response protocols as required by Allied Universal.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • You must provide one of the following : a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
