Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Intras  

Cloud  

Services  

(ICS). The successful candidate will architect, implement, and support hybrid on‑premises  

and  

Azure infrastructure for our customers while serving as an escalation resource for the ICS Global Support Operations Center (GSOC). This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid infrastructure  

–

 

Windows  

Server, VMware\ / Hyper‑V, and Azure IaaS\ / PaaS (VMs, VNets, storage, backup, monitoring).

Project‑based delivery  

–

 

scoping, planning, and executing infrastructure projects (migrations, upgrades, DR implementations) in collaboration with ICS project managers and customer stakeholders.

Escalation support –  

act as a technical escalation point for the ICS Global Support Operations Center, providing advanced troubleshooting and guidance to L1\ / L2 analysts, ensuring correct routing and resolution of incidents.

System administration & patching  

–

 

perform scheduled OS\ / firmware updates, apply security baselines, and remediate vulnerabilities to keep platforms reliable and compliant.

Infrastructure automation  

–

 

create and maintain PowerShell, Bicep, or Terraform scripts to accelerate deployments and enforce configuration consistency.

Capacity and performance tuning  

–

 

monitor utilization, recommend scaling or optimization actions, and participate in regular health checks.

Documentation & knowledge sharing  

–

 

produce runbooks, architecture diagrams, and ticket notes; maintain an accurate knowledge base.

Continuous improvement  

–

 

provide feedback on processes, tooling, and standards; collaborate with leadership to enhance service quality.

Take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Requirements

Active AZ ‑ 104 : Microsoft  

Azure Administrator certification.

4–6  

years administering enterprise Windows  

Server, virtualization, networking, and storage, with at least 2  

years hands ‑ on Azure experience.

Proficiency with PowerShell and infrastructure ‑ as ‑ code (ARM\ / Bicep or Terraform).

Solid understanding of identity & access (Entra  

ID, RBAC), security hardening, and backup\ / DR strategies.

Strong analytical, problem ‑ solving, and documentation skills; able to thrive in a fast ‑ paced MSP environment.

The ability to multi\-task and mantain good communications is a must.

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent written problem analysis and solving skills

Self\-starter, dependable and accurate in completing tasks with strong attention to detail.

Ability to function effectively in a fast\-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role requiring that the selected candidate be able to work four days per normal work week in the Intras Cloud Services offices in Dallas, Texas.
