Job Title : Storage System Engineer (Mainframe)

Employment Type : Full-time Permanent Exempt Employee

Location : Plano, TX (3 days per week onsite)

Other Approved Locations : Jacksonville, FL / Hopewell, NJ / Charlotte, NC / Richmond, VA

Pay Scale : $165,000 - $175,000 annual base salary

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Storage Engineer to lead and support large-scale infrastructure initiatives. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing mainframe storage environments, including upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on engineering expertise as well as architectural / design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mainframe storage architecture solutions
• Lead data center move projects, including role swaps and disaster recovery
• Plan and execute refreshes / upgrades across storage platforms
• Perform capacity management and optimize cost efficiency
• Drive I / O performance tuning and troubleshooting across storage and network layers
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure reliable, secure storage delivery
