Descripción del trabajoUnderstanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1 Experience in civil / government aviation inspection operations or FAA Repair Station operations Inspection Authorization (IA) designation and / or first article inspections experience Prior experience with aircraft modifications Background in Aerospace & Defense, US Department of Defense, or US Military Inspect aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and compliance with manufacturer specifications and government regulations Perform in-process and final inspections and approve aircraft for return to service Identify and report any breach of standards for airworthiness Frequent walking, sitting, standing, climbing stairs / steps Frequent hand, arm, and finger dexterity; close / distance vision, depth perception, and color recognition Frequent ability to hear and discern tones / volumes Occasionally lift / carry up to 50 lbs Frequent exposure to outdoor elements (extreme temps, sun, rain, snow) Frequent exposure to fumes, hazardous chemicals / materials, and loud noise Responsible for the safety / security of people or property Inspects, handles, or transports explosives, hazardous materials, and aircraft equipment Performs aviation-related duties and operates / supervises vehicles, heavy, or dangerous equipment
Aircraft Inspector IV
Duration : 12-month Contract-to-Hire
Location : Hagerstown, MD
Max Pay : $35.00-48.00
Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts
- Strong experience with product audit and inspection processes and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- High school diploma or GED and 10+ years of relevant experience (degree may substitute; related experience may be considered)
