Certified Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Review inpatient medical records to assign accurate diagnoses and procedure codes

Apply MS-DRG, APR-DRG, POA, SOI, ROM, HAC, and PSI indicators

Collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) team to ensure coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)

1-2 years of inpatient coding experience (3-5 years preferred)

One of the following AHIMA credentials : CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT
