• Minimum experience in both PICU and NICU
• Epic experience required
• Comfortable floating to various pediatric units
• Ability to work every other weekend and two out of three winter holidays

Description :

This position is for a pediatric float pool nurse.

The role involves floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, and pediatric emergency department.

Candidates must have experience in both PICU and NICU.

The position requires comfort with pediatric populations and may also support other areas as needed.

Nurses will provide care for infants and children with a range of health conditions.

Responsibilities include utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality patient care.

Nurses will work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Scheduled shifts are for nights, including every other weekend.

There is a requirement to work during designated holiday periods.

Nurses will perform various clinical procedures and adhere to float policies.

The unit supports a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses.

The nurse-patient ratios in ICU settings are typically 1 : 2, with some flexibility depending on the acuity of patients.

Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate knowledge of pediatric care, family-centered care principles, and safety protocols.
