Responsibilities

  • Supervise, monitor and review on all site accounting activities including account reconciliation, accounts receivable, credit management and the monitoring of operations systems and procedures and control features.
  • Maximize hotel's cash flow earnings through aggressive credit and collection policies.
  • Complete all general ledger and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure a timely month-end close.
  • Produce accurate financial statements.
  • Provide Accounts Receivable monthly status reports to the Director of Finance, EOC and Corporate Accounting Team.
  • Manage hotel's credit and collection function.
  • Reference and approve all credit applications.
  • Be familiar with state sales tax laws and tax-exempt status reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of billing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry, or participation in the Omni LID program.
  • College degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Service and detail oriented, possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Computer proficiency; with developed excel skills.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
