Job Requirements:
The responsibilities for this position will include:
- teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a variety of CM areas such as Building Construction, Plan Reading/BIM, Estimating, and Project Management including lectures and labs
- participate in developing new and/or improved curriculum and teaching resources, and use innovative instructional methods; provide reliable, accurate and effective student advising and mentoring
- participate in scholarly/creative activities including, but not limited to, public presentations, conference/journal publications, and pedagogical studies
- perform service activities at the program, school, and university levels; and collaborate with related disciplines
- establish strong relationships with the construction industry and pursue opportunities to collaborate
- engage in professional development opportunities that foster continuous improvement and growth
- support the university’s strategic plan to bolster inclusive excellence, offer a high-value education and transformative student experience, and secure next generation partnership
- be an excellent teacher and mentor with a commitment to diversity and inclusion

Minimum Education Required Master's degree Preferred Education Doctoral degree Minimum Work Experience Required 1 year of full-time university level teaching experience, or equivalent Preferred Work Experience 3 years of full-time work experience in the construction industry Minimum Knowledge Required Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations. Preferred Knowledge Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations. Advertised Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Construction Management or closely related field
- 1 year of full-time work experience in the construction industry, or equivalent
- 1 year of full-time University Teaching Experience
Advertised Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Construction Management or closely related fields (degree should be conferred by the start date of the position)
- 3 year of full-time work experience in the construction industry
- Skilled with Construction Management related software programs such as Revit, Navisworks, RSMeans, Primavera P6, and Synchro
- Professional certifications/licenses related to the construction industry
