What You’ll Do
- Strategic Solutioning : Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and statements of work (SOW) to drive business growth.
- Client Strategy & Engagement : Identify and assess client needs and opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor—communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Cloud Architecture & Delivery : Design, build, and automate cost-effective, resilient, and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Migration & Modernization : Lead and support seamless application and infrastructure migrations to AWS, including experience with AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Program) where applicable.
- Infrastructure & Automation : Manage AWS environments, implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and automate deployments using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Security & Compliance : Ensure cloud solutions meet relevant security, privacy, and compliance standards (DevSecOps, IAM, networking, etc.).
- Continuous Improvement : Stay current on trends, share best practices, and contribute to internal accelerators and offerings.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship : Lead engineering teams, guide architectural decisions, and support team development.
- Revenue Impact : Senior Principal hires will have a responsibility of $1.5M+.
What You’ll Bring
Experience : 10+ years in consulting leadership, with at least 5+ years architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, etc.). Strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, and platform engineering. Exposure to multi-cloud (Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures a plus.Technical Consulting Sales : 5–8 years partnering with sales and delivery teams to scope, shape, and solution cloud programs for enterprise clients. Proven success in driving cloud strategy engagements and leading pursuits exceeding $1M+ in revenue.Exceptional Communication : Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into business-aligned outcomes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effective at building trust and guiding cross-functional teams through ambiguity and change.Business Development : Demonstrated ability to grow and expand client accounts by aligning cloud strategy with business needs, identifying opportunities for innovation, and delivering measurable outcomes.Cloud Expertise : Advanced knowledge of AWS platform services and cloud architecture best practices related to networking, identity and access, compute, storage, observability, and cost optimization.About Us

Compensation And Benefits
Slalom invests in benefits that support work and life, including meaningful time off and paid holidays, parental leave, 401(k) with match, a range of health / dental / vision coverage, adoption and fertility assistance, short / long-term disability, and wellness reimbursements. The base salary pay range for this role is $165,000 to $225,000 for Principal level and $190,000 to $258,000 for Senior Principal level, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, location, and other factors. The salary pay range is subject to change.
