Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Massachusetts, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to pass Tele / ECG and Medication tests.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Provides care for a diverse emergency room patient population
  • Evening shifts are 12 hours, typically 3 : 00 pm to 3 : 30 am
  • Uses Epic EMR for all charting and documentation
  • No local travelers accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Responsibilities include rapid triage, emergency interventions, and collaborative patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is required
  • Orientation is provided biweekly with set start dates
  • First-time travelers are not specifically excluded
  • All requests for time off must be presented at time of consideration
  • Candidates must prepare for Tele / ECG and Medication tests, as there is no opportunity for remediation or retesting

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active MA RN license required at time of application
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • ENPC and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Medication Administration (MAB) certification highly preferred
  • Minimum of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
  • Must demonstrate competent assessment and organizational skills, and ability to perform under stress
  • Must pass Tele / ECG and Medication tests (20 questions each, 85% minimum, one attempt only) prior to acceptance
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster, and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
  • Must not have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility within the last six months
