Verovian Nursing Recruitment Agency is seeking a full-time, board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a 32-bed multi-disciplinary PICU in Norfolk, Virginia. This role places you at the heart of caring for complex patient population.
You'll work alongside leading specialists, including teams partnered with the University of Virginia's Congenital Cardiac Surgery Program, managing post-operative cardiac patients as part of the PICU population.

With exposure to ECMO, trauma, and a full spectrum of medical and surgical cases, this role offers unmatched clinical depth and growth.

Job specification

  • Manage the care of critically ill pediatric patients within the 32-bed multi-disciplinary PICU.
  • Provide comprehensive care for post-operative cardiac patients as part of our congenital cardiac surgery program partnered with the University of Virginia.
  • Participate actively in the management of patients within the ECMO program.
  • Collaborate with the busy trauma service and all represented medical and surgical specialties to coordinate patient care.
  • Perform procedures and develop treatment plans appropriate for the critical care setting.
Candidate requirements
  • Board Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Must possess or have the ability to hold a Virginia State Medical License.
  • PICU experience is required.
