Unit Highlights :

The unit has 12 beds with a patient ratio of 2 : 1 (3 : 1 if low acuity).

Staffing includes unit secretaries and charge nurses.

Common ICU equipment and a Meditech documentation system are utilized.

Shift Details :

The schedule requires three 12-hour shifts per week with alternating weekends.

Floating may be required as needed.

Required Skills :

Candidates must have general ICU experience, including titration of drips.

BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

NIH certification is preferred.

Preferred Skills :

Neuro ICU experience and strong assessment skills are advantageous.

Familiarity with procedures such as A-line, central lines, chest tubes, and cardioversion is preferred.

Dress Code :

Scrub color is navy for tops and pants, with navy or white scrub jackets.

Nails must be clean and healthy.

Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors.

Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed.

Tattoos should be covered whenever possible.

Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.

Other Guidelines :

Candidates must be aware of floating guidelines and attendance policies.
