Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance throughout the community
- Assist with the upkeep of grounds, amenities, and common areas
- Prepare apartments for move-in by performing repairs, painting touch-ups, and cleaning
- Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Elect to participate in the voluntary Opt-In Emergency Call Assistance Program
- Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and company procedures
- Assist in inventory control of maintenance supplies
- Support community events or property inspections as requested
- Provide backup coverage for porter / janitorial duties when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent1+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in residential or property managementBasic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systemsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with maintenance tools and equipmentValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to work flexible hours including weekendsAbility to communicate effectively with team membersPreferred Qualifications
Experience in apartment maintenance or multi-family housingTrade school or certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systemsOSHA or safety trainingWork Environment and Physical Requirements
Frequently work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsRegularly climbs ladders, bends, kneels, and reaches in confined spacesRoutinely lifts or moves objects up to 50 poundsOperates hand and power tools safely and efficientlyUses personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredCompany Values
