SHIPPING / RECEIVING CLERK

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Shipping / Receiving Clerk to support a large-scale construction project in Amarillo, TX. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction logistics, inventory control, and shipping / receiving operations, with the ability to travel and remain onsite for extended periods. Per diem is provided and compensation is commensurate with experience.

Pay Rate

$40.00 per hour + Overtime and per diem

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 am to 7 : 00 pm. Overtime on Saturdays

Shipping / Receiving Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of materials, tools, and equipment for the construction site.
• Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage; record discrepancies and report as needed.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring materials are properly packaged, labeled, and documented.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track materials in and out of the laydown yard or warehouse.
• Communicate with site supervisors, drivers, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently (if certified)
• Maintain a clean, organized shipping / receiving area and ensure materials are stored properly.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
