Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Specialist program is required, or equivalent experience. A high school diploma is necessary.
Experience
At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
Certification and Licenses
Preferred certification includes Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited organization such as the American Medical Technologist (AMT). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Mental and Physical Requirements
This position requires significant mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, and various movements such as bending and reaching. Exposure to infectious diseases and occasional challenging interactions may occur.
