The Email Marketing Lead is responsible for building and leading a modern, data-driven email marketing function focused on growth, retention, and customer lifetime value. This role will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of email campaigns across the full customer lifecyclespanning acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and reactivation.
This role will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Product, Creative, Analytics, Data Science, and Customer Service to create impactful communications that support brand, business, and customer objectives. The Email Marketing Lead will also own the roadmap for the email martech stack and champion best practices around audience segmentation, deliverability, testing, and performance measurement.
Position Responsibilities
Design and implement a comprehensive email marketing strategy across all lifecycle stages (acquisitions, nurture, welcome, onboarding, upsell, retention, reactivation, winback, etc.).
Develop, launch, and manage automated communications (email, SMS, push notifications) : journeys, campaigns, and one-off sends within Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent platform.
Implement robust segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, product usage, lifecycle stage, and demographics.
Act as primary owner and power user of the email marketing platform (SFMC or equivalent).
Define and track KPIs including open / click / conversion rates, opt-out rates, list growth, and contribution to acquisition and retention goals.

Working Arrangements : This is a hybrid role expected to work in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. This person can sit out of our Rockville headquarters. You will be able to work remotely on Wednesday.
