Certifications : BLS certification required from AHA. Surgical Tech certification required

Must-Have : Knowledge of care and handling of instruments and equipment. Knowledge of sterilization and cleansing procedures. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Description :

An integral member of the surgical team who provides support for surgeons throughout the operation.

Responsible for preparing, providing, and caring for instruments and equipment.

Maintains a sterile field during surgeries.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.

Graduation from a school of Surgical Technology is preferred.

The position requires knowledge of care and handling of instruments and equipment and sterilization procedures.

The employee will be instructed in Universal Precautions and Right to Know.

Utilizes available tools to prevent worker injuries.

The job involves heavy physical effort, requiring standing, walking, or lifting most of the day.

Requires the ability to speak, hear, and communicate verbal and written materials.
