A company is looking for a Coding Specialist I to perform medical coding and support documentation and billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Abstracts and codes physician professional services and diagnosis codes
Trains physicians and staff on documentation, billing, and coding
Performs reconciliations and resolves billing discrepancies
Required Qualifications
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
Zero to two years of experience in a relevant role
Preferred : Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Health Information Management from an accredited program
Preferred : Previous experience with physician coding
