Contract Painter Position
We have an outstanding contract position for a painter to join a leading company located in the Phoenix, AZ surrounding area. US Citizenship is required. Responsibilities include assisting painters with a variety of tasks, including masking, touch-up primer / paints, stencils, paperwork, and cleanup as required. The work is performed in a moderate to fast-paced environment, is repetitive in nature, is detailed, and requires critical adherence to established quality levels while completing within the timeframe and workspace allowed for the assigned task. The painter will also perform self-inspection / evaluation of work to ensure required / expected results are achieved per work instructions or guidance. Additionally, the painter will move or assist in moving applicable materials, parts, tools, equipment, and others. Accurately records data within production logs and completes related paperwork.
Basic hiring criteria include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum one year of painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience. The candidate must be able to use both hands for manipulating, handling, and applying various materials used in painting functions. The ability to handle tools used in the painting process is also required. The candidate must be able to lift up to 40lbs. They must also be able to understand the work processes consistent with a manufacturing painting workshop and read and understand work documents to communicate information clearly to coworkers and supervisor, and to accurately provide the information requested on specific forms, reports, and logs.
