Job Description
Summary / Objective
The processor is responsible for determining operations to produce machine tool parts and fabrications and develops processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. This position troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action.
Essential Functions
- Verify drawings prior to release for fabrication
- Evaluate the process requirements of drawings
- Process jobs creating job travelers with specific operations from start to finish
- Order fabrications and machining based on project timelines and scheduled needs
- Communicate with the various vendors to achieve the best possible price and delivery
- Process fabricated spare parts orders as required
- Track all incoming fabrications and machined parts to timeline requirements.
- Interface with all departments to resolve any issues dealing with the machining and fabrications
- Support all quality systems requirements
- Update order entry and status of components both sourced internally and externally.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
5+ years’ experience with machine tool equipment processing and fabrication
