Descripción del trabajoProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the shelter location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting shelter staff and residents as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas within the shelter to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a welcoming environment. Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal protocols. Communicate professionally with shelter staff, residents, visitors, and / or emergency personnel as situations arise. Remain alert and observant while on patrol, adapting to the unique needs and environment of a shelter location. At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. A guard card and / or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer - Residence Unarmed Patrol PT in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to provide reassurance, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication.
