Descripción del trabajoThis is an excellent opportunity to perform the latest MIGS (Hydrus, iStent, Xen, Micropulse, KDB) as well as other incisional glaucoma surgery. Providing comprehensive clinical and surgical ophthalmological care to our veteran patients. Supervising ophthalmology residents in the clinics, procedure room, laser room and the operating room. Providing diagnostic and therapeutic services in inpatient and outpatient settings. MD or DO Degree Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Board Certified or Board Eligible Flexible work schedules and shifts Low patient-provider ratios Robust insurance coverage The ability to work anywhere in the country with one active license Stable employment with competitive salary and regular pay increases 50 days annual paid time off (26 days paid annual leave, 13 days paid annual sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays) in addition to other leave options including paid parental leave Generous education support programs, including loan repayment and reimbursement Unprecedented federal retirement benefits including a traditional pension (5 years’ vesting) and a federal 401K (TSP) with up to 5% in employer contributions

The (SAVAHCS) Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced board-certified Ophthalmologist to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our veterans.

- Mentoring of residents from the University of Arizona Ophthalmology Residency
