Description

Summary :

Designs and tests electro-mechanical components and systems for new and innovative machines, components, prototypes and devices in accordance with internal and external requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for technical design (component specification, selection, modeling and CAD design), development (prototyping and testing), and certification (agency and regulatory requirements) of systems and components under guidance and direction.
• Initiate and implement new product designs and / or design improvements including the development and execution of reliability test plans.
• Perform / coordinate product testing and validation.
• Communicate with customers and vendors on requirements and materials needed for project completion.
• Provide technical support to product engineering, sales, and manufacturing departments.
• Coordinate and manage the integration of new designs into the product commercialization process.
• Interact with cross functional teams to accomplish assigned tasks, within schedule and budget, with supervision.
• Facilitate and participate in project reviews and meetings.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
