Veterinary Assistant Relief

VCA Old River Animal Hospital ? is seeking a Relief Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptional team!

Location : 520 W 11th St, Tracy, CA 95376

Compensation : $ 21 - $ 23 / hr

Schedule : Relief including weekends

What You'll Do :

As a member of VCA Old River Animal Hospital , you will support the team by fostering a positive and low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Skills that will be utilized may include, but are not limited to :

Assistveterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures

Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration)

Restrain animals safely and compassionately

Prepare and clean exam rooms

Assistwith radiographs, labsample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics

Maintainaccuratemedical records and supportcharting

Provideclient educationand ensure excellent service during visits

Support surgery prep and recovery as needed

Helpmaintaina clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment

Qualifications :

1+ years experience in aveterinary settingas a Veterinary Assistant

Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments

High school diploma or equivalent required
