Med / Surg LPN Job Details

Location : Brevard, North Carolina (Zip : 28712)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care / Med / Surg Unit

Assignment Type : Travel LPN contract

Start Date : November 2, 2025

End Date : February 1, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nursing assignment

Shift : 7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1150 - $1230

Team Model : Team-based care with daily interdisciplinary rounds

LPN Qualifications

Active LPN or LVN license (North Carolina or compact state)

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience preferred

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment

Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred

Willingness to work weekend rotations and holiday shifts as needed

Med / Surg LPN Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit

Perform clinical tasks including IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, EKG monitoring, and wound care

Accurately monitor and document patient status using Cerner EMR

Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Nursing Assistants (NAs), and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

Float to Transitional Care Unit (TCU) as required

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (navy blue scrubs)
