Experience : 2+ years of level 3 or 4 NICU experience

License : Current RN license

Certifications : BLS, NRP

Must-Have :

Caring for level 3 NICU infants

Experience with High Frequency vents, conventional vents, CPAP, NIMV, HFNC, Nitric, whole body cooling, OG / NG / PO feedings, UAC, UVC, PICC, PIV.

Attending high-risk deliveries and all cesarean section deliveries.

Description :

Position includes caring for specialized NICU patients.

The unit typically has a patient ratio that varies depending on patient acuity.

The usual ratios include 3 feeders, 2 CPAP, 1 nitric, and 1 cooling.

Preferred experience includes STABLE certification.

The unit has 25 beds plus overflow beds available as needed.

There may be float requirements to mother-baby or pediatrics, but this is not likely due to high census.

Previous travelers have not floated during their assignments.
