Eluvio is a highly focused and ambitious team of systems, networking, application, and video software engineers, AI scientists, ML engineers, and security experts working together to implement the vision of the Content Fabric - a decentralized platform for video and commerce with the ambition of serving the world's Internet video. The Eluvio Content Fabric provides an innovative distributed and decentralized video processing framework with just-in-time and personalized experiences, made possible through our state-of-the-art real-time content routing and just-in-time code execution. We are headquartered in Berkeley, CA.

Job duties :

Research on AI / ML models for Eluvio Content Fabric, focusing on video content understanding.
Developing AI / ML models for extracting information from video / audio content.
Leads development of advanced models and oversees integration into production environments (end-to-end deployment).
Optimizes models for performance and ensures seamless integration with blockchain-verified metadata systems.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to interns and junior engineers.
Takes a leadership role in team discussions, setting technical direction, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Regularly engages with clients, attends business meetings, and drives customer-focused strategy.
Active participation in business strategy discussions and decision-making processes.
May telecommute.
Rate of pay : $128,398 to $132,000 per year

Requirements

Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field

2 years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science, with a specialization in video and media data analysis.

Experience in deployment of machine learning models in production environments, particularly in media-focused applications.

Container management tools, including Podman, for efficient deployment and orchestration of applications in containerized environments.

API design and implementation for model inference services, ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient integration of machine learning models into production systems.

Python, R, JavaScript, and Bash.

Experience with system programming languages including C++, Go, and Rust.

Machine learning and deep learning algorithms (e.g., CNNs, Transformer models, GANs, clustering, sequence models) and frameworks / libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

CockroachDB and Firebase DB, with experience in their application for managing and processing large-scale media datasets.

Collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams, managing priorities, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Distributed systems, including their architecture, operational challenges, and performance optimization strategies.

Designing, developing, and deploying production-grade software and machine learning models, specifically within the media domain.
