The H70 Orthopedic Unit Is Dedicated To Caring For Adult Post-Operative Orthopedic Patients And Overflow Patients From The Neurological Institute And Department Of General Surgery. Common Surgeries Performed On Our Patients Include Total Hip, Knee, And Shoulder Arthroplasty, Revisions Of Hips, Knees, And Shoulders, And Sarcoma Resection. Osteoarthritis Is The Primary Underlying Disease For Most Of Our Patient Population, Along With Infections Of Joints, Osteomyelitis, Fractures, Sarcoma, And Avascular Necrosis.

A Caregiver In This Position Works Nights, 7 : 00pm7 : 30am.

A Caregiver Who Excels In This Role Will :

• Conduct An In-Person Greeting, Welcome And Orientation To The Unit For Newly Admitted And Transferred Patients.
• Respond To Patient Call Lights And Make Rounds.
• Assist With Processing Patient Admissions, Transfers And Discharges.
• Assist Patients And Families With Wayfinding And Direct Them To Available Resources.
• Assemble And Maintain Patient Medical Records And Other Documents Related To Patient Care.
• Assist With Unit Clerical Functions And In Trouble-Shooting Equipment Failures, Such As Call System, Portable Phones, Wows And Other Unit Devices.
