Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details :

CVOR Surgical Scrub Tech position specializing in cardiovascular and open heart surgery

3 years of open heart surgery experience required

Pediatric cardiac and / or vascular hybrid experience preferred

On-call requirement allows for 40 hours per week

Work with patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Operate in 4 CVOR suites : Adult x2, Pediatrics x1, Hybrid / Endovascular x1

Handle 3 operating rooms with specialized cardiovascular procedures

1-2 weekend shifts per month required

40 hours of orientation provided

Epic charting system experience preferred

Required certifications : BLS, CST, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)

2 years minimum experience required

Must maintain aseptic technique and knowledge of sterilization processes

Responsibilities include instrument processing, equipment documentation, and specimen handling

Work with specialized equipment including cell saver, ECMO, laser safety protocols, and hybrid OR technology

Handle complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve repairs, aortic repairs, and pediatric cardiac surgeries

This major healthcare system operates a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program with state-of-the-art operating suites dedicated to cardiac procedures. The facility features four specialized CVOR suites including dedicated adult, pediatric, and hybrid / endovascular rooms. The organization maintains a team of 16 staff members and provides advanced cardiovascular care for patients with coronary artery disease, valve disease, and various cardiovascular conditions. The facility emphasizes cutting-edge technology and specialized equipment to support complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
