POSITION :   Outreach Specialist II / Volunteer and Alumni Activities Coordinator

STATUS :       Full-Time

SALARY :      $18 - $35 / hr. based on experience and level of education.

QUALIFICATIONS : Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be extremely well organized and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Requires knowledge of person-centered, strength-based assessment and recovery planning utilizing ASAM Criteria. Requires knowledge of Co-occurring Disorder treatment, continuing care and long-term recovery support. Addictions Counselor certification (CADC) or a related professional license (Counselor, Social Worker or Psychologist) preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, at least 2 years driving experience and a driving record that is acceptable to vehicle insurance provider. Minimum of 12 months of continuous sobriety required for persons recovering from a substance use disorder. Must submit to DHS Schedule L background checks and meet the eligibility requirements for employment. Experience in Substance Use Disorder Treatment, degree in a Human Services-related field, and Bilingual preferred.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide community and early intervention in-reach and outreach services for at-risk individuals and the community organizations serving them.
• Conduct Recovery Monitoring Follow-Up Calls to individuals discharged from treatment and provide quarterly documentation and reporting
• Complete Initial Screenings to determine eligibility for treatment services
• Provide support to Clients and referring agencies in order to expedite the admissions process, including but not limited to :
