Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Swing night shift position at an acute care facility, requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care setting on a Med / Surg unit as a Swing RN
  • Night shifts are 12 hours from 6 : 30 pm to 7 : 00 am with varying days
  • Every other weekend coverage is required
  • Uses the Epic EMR system
  • Position covers a critical access facility
  • Must provide patient care in compliance with the hospital's clinical standards
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
  • Orientation includes 12 hours of training
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must provide a copy of driver's license for proof of address
  • Dress code or scrub requirements will be provided upon assignment

    • Requirements

  • Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
  • Certifications required : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
  • ED experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Candidates must have lived at least 50 miles from the facility, determined by driver's license
  • Must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in any capacity within the past 12 months
