Customs Broker Entry Writer

We're seeking a detail-oriented Entry Writer (Customs Broker Delivery Associate) to support our customs brokerage client in Charlotte. This role is temporary estimated to last at least 6 months with potential for extension and will be working on site in Charlotte. Hunter Hamilton offers hourly/weekly pay, direct deposit and temporary health benefits. Transmitting entries experience is a MUST for this role.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the key contact for a select group of clients-owning all aspects of their customs clearance and import operations from start to finish.

• Transmit customs entries and process PGA clearances with accuracy and efficiency.

• Coordinate shipments with forwarders, airlines, and steamship lines to ensure timely release and delivery.

• Maintain and update customer SOPs, entry documentation, and billing reports in the internal system.

• Track and trace inbound shipments while providing proactive communication and top-tier customer service.

• Ensure compliance with all CBP and PGA regulations, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in every transaction.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of customs brokerage experience - prior experience in a brokerage firm preferred.

• Proven experience transmitting customs entries (required).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.

• Highly organized, detail-driven, and capable of multitasking under pressure.

• Collaborative team player who takes ownership and drives results.
