The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with gas utility companies, contractors, and other key industry partners. This role focuses on selling Heath’s products, equipment, and field services , while identifying new business opportunities and representing the company at industry events.

This position requires a strategic, relationship-driven salesperson who thrives in the field, is comfortable with extensive travel, and understands the technical and operational aspects of the natural gas industry.

  • Must be located in one of the following states, or willing to relocate - WV, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, FL

Key Responsibilities :

  • Promote and sell Heath Consultants’ full line of products and services to utility clients and industry partners.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and participation in trade associations.
  • Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and presentations customized to client needs.
  • Act as a liaison between the end user and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client support.
  • Attend and represent Heath at industry functions, trade shows, and training events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce CRM , including activity tracking and pipeline management.
  • Submit monthly activity reports and forecasts to management, providing visibility into sales efforts and client engagement.
  • Collaborate with operations and product teams to support project startups and identify process improvements.
  • Contribute to sales budgeting and forecasting efforts for assigned territory.
  • Qualifications : Required :

  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales or business development experience , preferably with technical or industrial products.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the natural gas, utilities, energy, or construction industry .
  • Demonstrated success in building client relationships and achieving or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to tailor approach to both field-level and executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% , including overnight stays and air travel.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to WV, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, or FL , and live near a major airport.
  • Preferred :

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering , or related field.
  • Experience selling to gas utilities, municipalities, or infrastructure clients .
  • Prior experience with technical product demonstrations or service-based solutions .

  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be accessible at all times and willing to travel a minimum of 90%
  • Must be located in one of the following states - WV, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, AL, FL and close to an airport
  • This role pays a base salary plus uncapped commissions, total compensation $100k range.
  • Offers of employment are contingent on passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening
