OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Position Overview
Mélange Foods Inc. is seeking a part-time hybrid Operations & Administrative Coordinator. This role combines administrative responsibilities (10–15 hours per week) with on-site floor support primarily on Fridays and Saturdays (6pm–10pm).
Weekly admin hours are flexible.
Willing to train the right candidate.
Administrative Responsibilities (10–15 hrs / week)
Focused on maintaining and organizing key operational systems.
Manage and update online ordering platforms
Track weekly orders and confirm deliveries
Double-check that invoices and documents have been uploaded or properly submitted
Ensure menus, hours, and item availability are accurate across platforms
Assist with weekly scheduling and basic payroll preparation
Communicate upcoming needs based on the restaurant calendar
On-Site & Floor Support (8–10 hrs / week; primarily Fri & Sat)
Ensures smooth service and upholds operational standards.
Provide floor support during peak hours (Fri & Sat, 6pm–10pm)
Confirm that deliveries, batches, and setups have been completed
Monitor sidework, readiness, and overall service flow
Support servers, runners, and bar as needed
Identify and communicate operational gaps while onsite
Preferred Qualifications
Front-of-house experience (serving, bartending, hosting, or similar)
Experience with online ordering platforms
Comfortable navigating Toast administrative settings
Strong organizational and communication skills
Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
Familiarity with Howard University / Bison Card is a plus
Not required :
We are open to training candidates who demonstrate strong organizational instincts and hospitality experience.
