Description : Overview

The Mixing Center Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, retrieving and shipping products by meeting operational standards for safety and productivity.

Essential Responsibilities

1) Efficiently unload freight, inspect, sort, label, receive and move products with equipment safely and in appropriate storage areas.

2) Operate materials handling equipment safely and efficiently.

3) Pull and prep product orders for shipping; ensure outbound shipments are accurate and damage-free

4) Inspect warehouse equipment daily for proper working conditions; notify management team of necessary maintenance or repairs.

5) Participate in physical inventories

6) Must comply with policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Additional Duties

1) Comply with all state and association standards for food handling and storage

2) Maintain a clean and efficient work area

3) Sort pallets, clean trucks, trailers and parking lot as needed

4) Ensure forklift batteries are charged and ready for use

5) Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements : Job Qualifications

  • Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent and 2 - 5 years of warehouse experience.

Experience in food industry preferred

  • Technical Proficiencies
  • Experience operating an electric pallet jack and forklift

    Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Excel) and warehouse management software

  • Communication Skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills & the ability to multi-task

    Must be able to speak, read and write English

  • Other Competencies
  • Ability to perform basic math, count and label product

    Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, and creative

    Ability to effectively work well with others, compassion for our mission

  • Travel
  • Be willing to travel for the first year or so to TAFB West in Weatherford until we move operations to the AgHub in Fort Worth.

    Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Work in a warehouse environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • May encounter exposure to fumes and / or airborne particles, and hear moderate to loud noise from warehouse equipment
  • Requires work schedule flexibility with occasional weekend and evening availability
