Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Principal Software Developer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Software Developer to join our Networking organization, focusing on DDoS and Network Security. In this strategic role, you will help architect, build, and enhance solutions to safeguard the reliability and availability of OCI's global cloud services. The ideal candidate excels at collaborating across teams, driving technical direction, and delivering large-scale, robust software systems in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities include :

• Leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of distributed systems that enhance the security and resiliency of OCI's networking services.
• Driving the development of L4 and L7 protection servicesincluding DDoS mitigation and Web Application Firewall (WAF)to protect against a wide array of network and application-layer threats.
• Analyzing trends in network architecture and the threat landscape to inform system design and enhancements.
• Driving improvements in system scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborating with partners across product, security, operations, and engineering to deliver high-visibility solutions.
• Defining, documenting, and sharing architectural approaches, technical best practices, and operational processes.
• Providing mentorship to engineers and helping elevate technical standards across the organization.
• Fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement across all aspects of the product lifecycle.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US : Hiring Range in USD from : $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
