The Assortment Planner directly reports to the Category Director, and partners with the Director and the Category Merchants to define the product assortment.
Analytical Skills are important in this role as they will utilize those skills to develop and maintain assortment plans for the Category while investigating top and bottom performing items on a weekly basis and providing grow, maintain, decline recommendations at a sku level.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assortment Planning : Provide analytical support for product line reviews and business reviews, ensuring that all data and insights are available for decision-making.
- Data-Driven Analysis : Recommendations built off FACTS. Will conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting to identify opportunities and challenges in category performance.
- Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Inventory Management, Merchandise Planning and Plan Administration.
- Tool Utilization : Use assortment optimization tools to evaluate item / store clustering and assist in the development of assortment strategies.
- KPI Monitoring : Track and report on performance against department-level KPIs, supporting managers in driving category success.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, Analytics or related field.1 plus years of experience in Merchandising or related field.Experience in Assortment Planning tools / analytical tools.Strong ability to design compelling communication grounded in data.Passion to drive results and move the business forward.
