Travel Nurse Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1980–$2120

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Location : Pratt, KS 67124 (Kansas travel nursing job)

Healthcare Setting : Community Hospital Operating Room

Shift : Day shift, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (06 : 30 – 15 : 00)

Hours per Week : 40

Call Requirements : Call every 5th or 6th weekend and one day during the week

Patient Population : Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Unit Details : 5 OR rooms, daily census of 12

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (proficiency in Ortho / total joints, general, and OB required)

Active Kansas RN license or compact state nursing license

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Proficiency with electronic charting systems (any system accepted)

Experience with orthopedic, GYN, podiatry, general, endoscopy, and labor & delivery (C-sections) procedures

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

First-time travel nurses not accepted

OR RN Responsibilities

Circulate in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedics (total joints), general surgery, OB, GYN, podiatry, and endoscopy

Assist with special procedures such as C-sections, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and hip fracture surgeries

Ensure patient safety and compliance with infection control, fire safety, laser, and radiation safety protocols

Accurately handle and label specimens, following universal protocol (time out) procedures

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Pharmacy

Participate in call rotation and provide coverage as scheduled

Float to other nursing units as needed
