Shift / Hours : Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM (EST)

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of a leading diagnostic services provider to patients who visit for routine or critical health testing. The PSR II collects and processes quality blood samples , prepares them for laboratory analysis, and ensures accurate patient identification. This role demands exceptional communication, patient trust-building, and strict adherence to clinical standards and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen-processing tasks accurately and on time under area supervision.

Maintain a safe, professional, and organized work environment.

Execute both forensic and clinical specimen collection following established procedures.

Verify patient demographics and confirm labeling accuracy immediately after collection.

Maintain all required records and documentation.

Uphold company policies, safety protocols, and dress-code standards.

Deliver superior customer service while communicating clearly with patients and colleagues.

Travel to additional patient service centers or in-office sites as needed with minimal notice.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Prior experience in a Patient Service Center environment (min. 2 years preferred) .

Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting .

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.

Demonstrated punctuality and commitment to full-shift coverage.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Customer-service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments.

Keyboard / data-entry skills.

Exposure to multiple site assignments or mobile phlebotomy.

Required Skills

Phlebotomy (excellent technique including pediatric & geriatric)

Attention to detail and accuracy

Customer service and patient communication

Preferred Skills

Data entry and electronic record keeping

Time management and multi-tasking

Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards

Leadership and process improvement awareness

Additional Skills

Forensic and clinical specimen handling

Organizational commitment and team collaboration

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or on-call as needed
