Responsibilities

We're looking for security officers to join our growing team! You're passionate about patient, visitor and staff safety, have a close eye for detail and love to collaborate with a dynamic team. Whether you're looking to stay with our team long term, or use this role as a stepping stone for a future law enforcement career, you will gain valuable hands-on experience that will meet your long and short term goals.

Qualifications

Education : High school diploma, high school equivalency (HSE) or completion of a CHS approved individualized education plan (IEP) certificate required. Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience : 1 year of law enforcement, security, military or other relevant experience required. Advanced military, law enforcement or security training preferred.

Licenses and certifications : DL - valid California driver's license and driving record acceptable to Community Health System required. BLS - current basic life support (BLS) for healthcare providers by American heart association (AHA) required. GUARD - state of California guard card required. CHS healthstream course : CPS - OC (pepper) spray endorsement required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
