Fives DyAG Corp. is looking for a Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team based out of the Rochester Hills, MI area. This role will run process controls projects from start to finish for industrial customers and may also eventually have leadership over other team members in the future.

Job Description

• Creating and commissioning industrial and process controls systems, PLC software design (may include Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.), and HMI screens for different industries and environments.
• Responsible for PLC / HMI code development, code installation, debug on job site, and commissioning of the complete system.
• Design hardware systems and control panels according to customer specifications and proper electrical codes. Hardware design may be done with AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan depending on the customer.
• Conducting the peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams.
• Ensure that systems are designed and programmed to customer and build specifications using standard techniques and approaches.
• Run projects from start to finish and may act as Project Manager for some projects. This would include preparing quotes / bids, coordinating sub-contractors for field work, developing scope, schedule, and budget, and meeting with the customer regularly. This role may also eventually manage a team of Engineers and Designers within the electrical / controls department.
• Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of systems may be up to 30%.

Skills / Experience Required :

Education

AS or BS in Engineering. Ideally, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineer or similar. Equivalent years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
