Job Description

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Teller to join their client's team in Temecula. The ideal candidate will provide top-notch service to customers while managing a variety of financial transactions and account-related services.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service : Greets customers in a friendly, professional manner and assists them with account inquiries and other banking needs.
  • Transaction processing : Handles customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and loan payments.
  • Cash handling : Manages and balances a cash drawer daily, ensuring all cash, checks, and other financial instruments are counted and verified. This may also include preparing cash for transfer to and from the vault.
  • Account support : Assists customers with a variety of account services, such as ordering new checks, redeeming savings bonds, or issuing money orders and cashier's checks.
  • Promoting bank products : Identifies opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services, such as new accounts, loans, or credit cards, and makes referrals to appropriate specialists.
  • Security and compliance : Verifies customer identification, detects fraudulent activity, and follows all security protocols and banking regulations.
  • Administrative tasks : Performs other duties as assigned, which can include opening and closing the branch, managing the drive-through, or handling administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Education : A high school diploma or GED is typically required.
  • Math skills : Strong arithmetic abilities and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
  • Communication : Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact positively with customers and coworkers.
  • Computer literacy : Proficiency in basic computer functions and the ability to learn and use banking software.
  • Integrity : A high level of honesty and ethical conduct for handling sensitive financial information.
  • Customer-focused : A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
